Director Tim Sullivan has been picked as the celebrity judge to replace James Gunn on VH1’s second season of reality show ‘Scream Queens’. The popular horror-reality show invites 10 unknown actresses to compete for role in a horror movie from Lionsgate Films. The prize for winning season 2 of ‘Scream Queens’ will be a role in next year’s ‘Saw VII’ sequel, which will be hitting theatres in 3-D glory!
Tim Sullivan, director of such horror titles such as the ‘2001 Maniacs’ remake a few years ago and it’s upcoming follow-up ‘2001 Maniacs: Field of Screams’, has stepped into James Gunns shoes for judging responsibilites. He’ll be joining co-celebrity judge actress Jaime King.
Season 1 winner, Tanedra Howard, is also slated to appear in ‘Saw VII’ following her winning role as Simone in ‘Saw VI’.
“Tanedra did an amazing job in Saw VI,” says Jason Constantine, Lionsgate’s president of acquisitions and co-productions who oversees the Saw films, “and we’re excited about giving another deserving newcomer a role in Saw 3D.”
The reality competition series is produced by Lionsgate and Joke Productions, Inc. and will premiere in early 2010. It will begin shooting this weekend.
