Writer/director Olatunde Osunsanmi (‘The Fourth Kind’ starring Milla Jovovich (below), Will Patton and Elias Koteas) has decided to take on the ‘Dark Moon’. Having already tried his hand at the ‘fake footage’ film he’ll be revisiting similar techniques this time around as ‘Dark Moon’ will follow the unnerving events after the Apollo 17 moon mission. Warner Bros. and Weed Road have picked up the project.
“‘Dark Moon’ will pick up after the Apollo 17 moon mission where we learn about the creepy discoveries that were made in the subsequent black ops missions.”
For those who have not yet caught Osunsanmi’s previous project ‘The Fourth Kind’ ,the movie was a horror/sci-fi/thriller involving an ongoing unsolved mystery in Alaska, where one town has seen an extraordinary number of unexplained disappearances during the past 40 years and there are accusations of a federal cover up. The movie was split between ‘original’ footage and the re-enactment of particular scenes. It’s quite an effective idea, although of course the apparent ‘original’ footage was also fake.
