‘The Warren Files’ (previously entitled ‘The Conjuring’) has made its second appearance in this weeks news round up by nabbing a couple more actors during its recent casting venture. The James Wan (‘Insidious’) helmed horror, based on the lives of famous paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren, sees a couple of lovely ladies in the form of Hayley McFarland (‘Lie to Me’) and Shanley Caswell -below (‘Detention’) sign up for the project to play more members of the Perron family. Patrick Wilson (‘Watchmen’), Vera Farmiga (‘Source Code’) will star as Ed and Lorraine whilst the other Perron family members will be portrayed by Lilli Taylor, Ron Livingston and recent signings Joey King (‘The Dark Knight Rises’) and Mackenzie Foy (‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1’). Shooting is set to kick of in later this month.
“The Warrens founded the New England Society for Psychic Research in 1952 and later opened the Occult Museum. They are the authors of numerous books about the paranormal and their own private investigations into various hauntings. They claimed to have investigated over 10,000 hauntings during their career, and as previously stated he Warrens were among the very first investigators in the controversial Amityville haunting. The Warrens were responsible for training several current paranormal investigating demonologists including Dave Considine, the late Lou Gentile, and their nephew John Zaffis.”
