The big screen adaption of popular video game ‘Bioshock’ has once again been given a bit of a blow. Actor Wentworth Miller had recently posted on Twitter the following statement…” PRISON BREAK may be ending, but I’ve got things in the works. Hint… one word: BIOSHOCK.”
But no sooner had he written it that it was then suddenly taken down without a trace. Which could mean one of two things according to AITH. ” Either the account was bullshit from the beginning or Miller spilled some beans that weren’t meant to be spilled.”
But it all may be irrelevant as it seems ‘Bioshock’ director Gore Verbinski (helmer of the ‘Pirates of the Carribean’ franchise) has been talking to the LA Times where he all but says he’s stepping away from the project:
“The bottom line is it has to shoot out of the States for budget reasons and my schedule may be prohibitive. There’s a great script and a really interesting cast. It really comes down to the financial model now. Big movies are just not being shot in the States. I’m weighing whether I can physically go the U.K. or Australia or one of those other places with a tax rebate for a year-and-a-half.”
So whats for the future of the ‘Bioshock’ project? Who knows. But screw that anyway – we want ‘Halo’!!!!!
