Warner Premiere is planning a direct-to-disc sequel to ‘Deep Blue Sea’ to be released next year. ‘Deep Blue Sea 2’, according to MovieHole, “will be made on pretty most budget, so don’t expect any of the headline stars of the original – Thomas Jane or LL Cool J, for instance – to return”.
The original ‘Deep Blue Sea’ released back in 1999 about a special project out at sea that studied shark’s and their brains in order to help fight brain cancer, starred Thomas Jane, Saffron Burrows, Samuel L. Jackson, and LL Cool J. However, the shark subjects soon begin to become unstable and their new advanced brain activity leads to revenge on the team that put them there.
