TV witches are apparently the new TV vampires and now two new pieces of artwork have been unveiled by Deadline for WGN America’s upcoming new witch-based horror series ‘Salem’. The show will kick off on the network from 20 April 10/9c and the couple of new posters certainly touch on the “witch trial” theme of the series which is set in 17th century Massachusetts. The ‘Salem’ line-up includes Shane West (‘Nikita’), Janet Montgomery (‘Human Target’), Seth Gabel (‘Fringe’), Ashley Madekwe (‘Revenge’), Xander Berkeley (‘Kick-Ass’), Tamzin Merchant (‘Jane Eyre’) and Elise Eberle (‘The Astronaut Farmer’). Check out the new two new posters below.
“Salem” is set in the volatile world of 17th century Massachusetts and explores what really fueled the town’s infamous witch trials. The series will look to uncover the dark, supernatural truth hiding behind the veil of this infamous period in American history. The witches featured are real, but they are not who or what they seem. What’s more, the drama, which centers on an epic romance wrapped around this explosive revelation, delivers a bold new vision of Salem — and an even bolder new vision of witches.”
