Quite a while back there were a few rumours flying around about a possible ‘Scream 4’ but alas nothing ever seem to have come of them. But now it seems there may be hope as Entertainment Weekly is reporting that writer Kevin Williamson, who penned both ‘Scream’ and ‘Scream 2’ is apparently penning a potential new ‘Scream’ trilogy and has plans to also bring back past characters from the original 3 movies.
Now whilst all that sounds great certain schedule conflicts will have to be sorted first. But it seems that Williamson has approached both Courteney Cox Arquette and David Arquette to reprise their roles.
No mention of Wes Craven as yet, but whether it would be something he would even be interested in is another thing. He seems more content at the moment helping remake most of his back catalogue of horror classics. Neve Campbell, who played the lead role Sidney Prescott in the original trilogy, has also not been mentioned.
