Amidst a pandemic, documentary filmmaker Tracy Kovalsky (Courtney Cavanagh – Chicago Fire) begins looking into the disappearance of her cousin, Jordan (Tauginas), after enrolling in illegal clinical trials for miracle drug Dumitor.

Following an outbreak within the testing facility, Jordan and the other human guinea pigs are forced into lockdown, as the dangerous drug transforms its test subjects into adrenaline-crazed killers, who hunt the uninfected down one by one.

As her research deepens, a determined Tracy vows to expose the medical conspiracy at the heart of Justin’s disappearance by any means necessary, even if it means putting her life on the line.

Written by David Daring (Published author and creator of popular game “Reign of the Red Dragon”), the film stars Brian Bremer (Silent Night, Deadly Night 5: The Toy Maker),  Jake C. Young (Screature), Audriana Curtsinger (Unnatural) and Andrew Pierson (A Soldier’s Descent).

Synopsis:

It’s an unknown point in time. The world has moved on from what it once was Ray, a drifter, is making his way through the hills of the old Kentucky. Ray is encountered by a strange entity, that promises him gold if he returns two icons to him. After accepting the challenge, Ray finds himself in the middle of a terrible storm in which he seeks refuge in a small church known as Souls Chapel. As things begin to unfold, Ray learns that church clergy are not who they seem, and that the chapel’s grounds are cursed with a presence of dark magic. Ray must not only survive the night but complete his task and make it out alive.

True Story Lore

The legend surrounding this site tells of an alleged “REVEREND” who held services in the early 1900s. Did this happen? Was this no ordinary Reverend, and how was he directed to end up in Somerset? It can be seen. The rumor of occult religions was allegedly started here to shift to a “NEW AGE” religion. From the start, he tried to slowly turn his flock.

From the conservative believers of the area. It started simple enough, with a few rituals here and there. For example, pentagrams are drawn on the floor to evoke demons (please note the tale makes no differentials between the occult and satanists, which are two distinct and very different belief systems). Before the arson of the structure, there was evidence of sacrifices. Small animals would turn up for gifts in the unholy rituals of the church. Then nearby farm animals went missing. Soon actual human sacrifices were reportedly made.

As all this was happening, Somerset’s city began to grow suspicious of the new Reverend. Tales of this event, imagery, functional or based on some fact, became common knowledge in the area. Like most similar events, a lynch mob marched to the church and hung the Reverend from the roof beams.

This story remains a “LEGEND” of the sin and has remained in one form or another in the local areas passed down through oral history to the community.
