It seems the boots of all the remaining new roles for the upcoming second season of ‘Bates Motel’ have been filled. Along with ‘Alias’ star Michael Vartan joining the cast as Norma’s new love interest ‘Hung’ actress Rebecca Creskoff (below) has now jumped on board to play Norma’s new friend (who we think will be named Christine). Along with Creskoff ‘Sons of Anarchy’ star Kenny Johnson has joined the cast to play Caleb, Norma’s estranged brother and Michael Eklund (‘The Divide’) as a local drug trafficker. Vera Farmiga (‘The Conjuring’), Freddie Highmore, Max Thieriot (‘House at the End of the Street’), Nestor Carbonell (‘Lost’), Olivia Cooke (‘The Quiet Ones’) and Nicola Peltz all return for the new series and production kicks off this week.
“Following the tragic death of her husband, Norma Bates buys a motel on the outskirts of the idyllic coastal town of White Pine Bay, seeking a fresh start. As Norma and Norman get ensconced in their new home, they discover this town isn’t quite what it seems, and the locals aren’t so quick to let them in on their secrets. But the Bates’ are done being pushed around and will do whatever it takes to survive – and will do whatever it takes to protect their own secrets.”
