Lionsgate have picked up the North American distribution rights to that of Marjane Satrapi’s new comedy thriller ‘The Voices’, starring Ryan Reynolds (‘R.I.P.D.’). The film sees Reynolds play the role of Jerry Hickfang who takes evil influences from his talking cat and dog. Satrapi will helm from a script written by Michael R. Perry (‘Paranormal Activity 2’) and the Mandalay Vision, Studio Babelsberg and Vertigo Entertainment production will be presented by both Lionsgate and 1984 Private Defense Contractors. ‘The Voices’ also stars Gemma Arterton (‘Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters’), Anna Kendrick (‘Up in the Air’) and Jacki Weaver. Hopefully now an official release date will be on the cards very soon.
