The Platinum Dunes produced sci-fi series 'The Last Ship' has been slated to premiere on TNT this coming June bringing with it the incredibly hot British star Rhona Mitra ('Underworld: Rise of the Lycans', 'Doomsday'). Mitra (below) stars as virologist Dr. Rachel Scott, a member aboard the crew of a naval destroyer who face a new existence when a global pandemic wipes out most of the Earth's population. The post-apocalyptic new series comes from 'Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines' helmer Jonathan Mostow and is based on the original novel by author William Brinkley. The show also stars Eric Dane, Adam Baldwin ('Firefly'), Marissa Neitling, Charles Parnell, Christina Elmore, Jocko Sims, John Pyper-Ferguson and Kevin Michael Martin.

"The crew of a naval destroyer is forced to confront the reality of a new existence when a pandemic kills off most of the earth's population."

'The Last Ship' premieres on TNT on 22 June 2014.
