'PIRANHA 3D' BLU-RAY AND DVD RELEASE DETAILS PROMISES GORE AND MORE

Director Alexandre Aja ('Mirrors', 'The Hills Have Eyes', 'Haute Tension') certainly put good old fashioned blood, gore, tits and more back onto the big screen with a splash and a bang this Summer with his 'Piranha 3D' remake. It's old school horror-fun and it's swimming onto Blu-Ray and DVD shelves across the US on 11 January. The gory flick starred Elisabeth Shue, Jerry O'Connell, Adam Scott, Ving Rhames, Jessica Szohr, Steven R. McQueen, Eli Roth, Richard Dreyfuss and Christopher Lloyd. And of course featured the unforgettable underwater naked lesbian make-out session with Brit hottie Kelly Brook and pornstar Riley Steele. So with unseen footage and behind-the-scenes featurettes I'm sure we'll get even more boobs for our bucks. Check out the rest of the features below.

"Every year the population of sleepy Lake Victoria explodes from 5,000 to 50,000 for Spring Break, a riot of sun and drunken fun. But this year, there's something more to worry about than hangovers and complaints from local old timers; a new type of terror is about to be cut loose on Lake Victoria. After a sudden underwater tremor sets free scores of the prehistoric man-eating fish, an unlikely group of strangers must band together to stop themselves from becoming fish food for the area's new razor-toothed residents."

The new 'Piranha 3D' release includes bonus features, deleted scenes, filmmaker commentary, storyboard comparisons and extensive behind-the-scenes featurettes. It'll be available on Blu-ray 3D for $39.95 SRP, Blu-ray for $34.95 and DVD for $28.95 SRP.

And of course it's rated R for sequences of strong bloody horror violence and gore, graphic nudity, sexual content, language and some drug use. Yay!
