Twentieth Century Fox have been pushing out a new image to help start things rolling on the Matt Reeves (‘Cloverfield’) helmed ape-tastic sci-fi sequel ‘Dawn of the Planet of the Apes’. The image is that of a monkeys hand with a gun tightly clasped in his grip. And if you think you’ve seen it somewhere before then that’s likely because its actually a piece by Scottish photographer Albert Watson taken in New York in 1992 and entitled…surprisingly…’Monkey with Gun’. Writer Mark Bomback is on board the project to rewrite for Reeves. Brit actor Andy Serkis (‘The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey’) will return to his performance captured best for the reprising role of Caesar. Head below for the piece of art.
‘Dawn of the Planet of the Apes’ is set to open from 23 May 2014.
