Well what have we here? An intriguing new one-sheet for Neill Blomkamp’s upcoming sci-fi action flick ‘Elysium’ has arrived giving us another glimpse of a new look Matt Damon (‘Contagion’). This time its his backside we can gander at, a shot which reveals some futuristic mechanics attached to the star. Damon stars alongside Jodie Foster (‘Silence of the Lambs) in the flick scheduled for an August release. Sharlto Copley, star of Blomkamp’s previous (and awesome!) effort ‘District 9’, also stars along with William Fichtner (‘Drive Angry’), Michael Shanks (‘Saving Hope’), Alice Braga (‘I Am Legend’), Diego Luna, Talisa Soto and Carly Pope. Head below to cast your peepers over the new one-sheet.
“In the year 2159, two classes of people exist: the very wealthy, who live on a pristine man-made space station called Elysium, and the rest, who live on an overpopulated, ruined Earth. Secretary Delacourt (Jodie Foster) will stop at nothing to preserve the luxurious lifestyle of the citizens of Elysium – but that doesn’t stop the people of Earth from trying to get in by any means they can. Max (Matt Damon) agrees to take on a life-threatening mission, one that could bring equality to these polarized worlds.”
‘Elysium’ arrives in the US on 9 August and here in UK theatres from 20 September.
