Guerrilla Metropolitana’s new protagonist for upcoming film THE BENEFACTRESS is finally revealed to the public

The notably controversial London based Italian filmmaker, Guerrilla Metropolitana, has finally revealed to the public for the first time his new protagonist character for the upcoming film THE BENEFACTRESS. American actress, Dawn ‘Blue’ DuVurger will become the director’s ultimate heroine. According to Metropolitana, she will take his vision of cinema to a completely different level. DuVurger, an actress with an extensive experience in the American independent horror scene, will be joining the rest of the cast and crew for what could potentially be, the most controversial film ever made in decades.

In fact, in an interview hosted by Travis Bruce for the HORROR REALM podcast on YouTube; in which Metropolitana is a regular guest, and for which DARIUSS was awarded, Best Horror Film, and Best Director in 2023. In the interview, DuVurger spoke for the first time in public about her new controversial role, and her collaboration with the visionary director, Metropolitana. During the interview, Bruce asked if she was comfortable in crossing all boundaries with no hesitation. DuVurger openly said she believed in the director’s vision and professionally, she was all for a challenge. Metropolitana said he had been looking for the right actress for more than a year. Nearly a hundred female candidates applied, but were rejected, probably due to the fact the role involves extreme sexual graphic scenes.

Metropolitana’s reputation with actresses is one of a true leader who does not take the word NO for an answer. He doesn’t accept refusal from performers who are not willing to go beyond boundaries. They are virtually fired on the spot! With the feature film DARIUSS, the female performers were able to smash the traditional models of acting and turn their performances into something visually beautiful yet depraved, and extremely artistic at the same time. The combination between visuals, painting like imageries, and female eroticism, is the ultimate director’s craft, and it is beautifully exposed in DARIUSS.

The performers roles in Metropolitana’s films, are far from ordinary. It requires mimics, body language, facial expressions, and several other elements that replace traditional dialogue.  The classic method acting, or stage background, all goes out of the window when it comes down to Metropolitana’s work. For the actresses especially, they must become a living painting for the director’s vision, and must be able to become ONE with the film. Any hesitation or limits are dangerous obstacles, and are totally unwanted by this visionary.

The interview with Travis Bruce has been circulating around the internet, and social media platforms recently. Ironically, it is the women who are in the horror scene, who can see in this incredibly brave and talented actress, a role model, and an inspiration in the horror realm.  DuVurger explains she is not afraid to cross boundaries. She said in the interview that she is loading her gun for when the time of filming will take place for THE BENEFACTRESS. She has a brave and admirable attitude that not many actresses have now-a-days. The scenes involving this American actress will be unprecedented in cinema history, and the complexity of her role will teach others what true and realistic acting is. No method acting or fake performances will be on the screen for THE BENEFACTRESS. The viewer will have a real and shockingly heart pulsing experience, that is for certain!

After the success and controversy of DARIUSS, the public is curious to know what this next film will be like. Metropolitana didn’t give any other details on the upcoming film. I guess we will have to wait and see what his next mad creation will be.
