BRITISH DUO SET UP EREBUS
Angad Paul, the executive producer of the gangster smash, Lock Stock & Two Smoking Barrels, has teamed up with ex-Victor Film Company chief Vic Bateman (the man behind Stephen Norringtons DEATH MACHINE, Neal Marshalls DOG SOLDIERS and Simon Spracklings THE FUNNY MAN) to form AV Pictures.
As part of their production ethos, they have just launched the genre label Erebus for the exclusive production of psychological horror movies. First to go in early 2004 will be DARK LULU, a paranormal-investigation tale to be written and directed by Dave Mitchell, based on his early short film of the same name. Shooting hard on that movies heels in the Wales area of Great Britain will be the teen horror THE MERMAID, from ALONE director Phil Claydon, and the third title will be Karen Birds ghost fable HALL OF MIRRORS.
