RESHOOTING ON RIDDICK
Vin Diesels career sounds like its headed rather swiftly for the toilet, but of course you knew that with rumours hes returning to the Fast and the Furious franchise.
All hope on his part has been laying with the Pitch Black prequel Chronicles of Riddick, and now, it too sounds like its not in the healthiest shape to be anyones comeback pic.
Says a scooper for Dark Horizons, ’News of some major additional photography on ‘Chronicles’. In the vicinity of $5M has been budgeted for at least seven days of filming in early March in Vancouver Canada on the Vin Diesel sequel. Some of the additional work apparently reverses the fatal fate of a major character whose demise had already been filmed during principal photography. A close source to the production notes that actor Nick Chinlund ‘sort of steals the picture from Diesel’. Other material includes additional SFX work’.
Whilst on the topic of sequels, Bloody Disgusting is reporting via news from Empire Magazine that Sigourney Weaver has started to shy away from an Alien 5 now. ‘Ridley Scott and I have talked a bit about doing one where we go back to the original planet but I don’t think any of us are really thinking about it. We’re all too busy’, says the actress. According to the site, she doesn’t know much about the upcoming Alien vs. Predator but said the spin-off was ‘one of the reasons [she] wanted to die in Alien 3’.
