NEW YORK FEST HEAD GETS DEAD SERIOUS
Michael J. Hein of Moodude Films and the New York City Horror Film Festival got in touch with Fango to announce that his new vampire film DEAD SERIOUS will begin shooting in New York City in May. Joe Sullivan will direct the movie, and SLEEPAWAY CAMP veteran Felissa Rose has just signed on to star. We are extremely excited to have Felissa cast in the lead role, says Hein, whos producing the feature. The entire cast and crew is full of genre veterans, and this will be a great project. Among those veterans are cinematographer Bud (THE CURSE) Gardner, FX creator Anthony (SATANS LITTLE HELPER) Pepe and co-star Tom Cahill, from Heins previous BIOHAZARDOUS.
DEAD SERIOUS storyline is as follows: A religious zealot and his terrorist cult take over a gay bar in New York City. Their plan is to remove the scourge of homosexuality from the planet. But little do they realize that when the natural order is tampered with, the wrath of the undead is awakened. Now a group of unlikely heroes must fight to survive the night and save the city.
Hein has also announced that this years NYC Horror Fest will run October 22-26
