BUBBA NOSFERATU CONTINGENT UPON SALES
Having made a name for himself (again) with the indie smash Bubba Ho-Tep, writer/director Don Coscarelli revealed to Fangoria just some of the film projects he’s batting around at the moment. Bubba Nosferatu: Curse of the She-Vampires being one of them.
‘Bruce [Campbell] likes this one, especially the idea of it taking place before Elvis [officially] died,’ Coscarelli tells Fango. ‘It would follow the King and his Memphis Mafia as they leave the set of KING CREOLE, down in New Orleans, and get involved with a coven of female vampireslots of fun hooking Elvis up with chicks with teeth. Im a little more partial to BUBBA SASQUATCH, in which Elvis would wind up in a rest home in the north woods where a tribe of killer Bigfoots are snatching the old folks and eating themand then it would be up to the King to burn some Bigfoot ass.’
Never thought I’d find myself saying this, but I’d like to see a Bubba Sasquatch over some vampire chicks.
Coscarelli adds that any kind of follow-up, though, rests solely on the amount of bread Bubba makes in DVD sales.
