MORE DAMON HORROR?
Though Matt Damon is probably not the first name to jump to mind when discussing horror projects, is he? However his involvement with both Project Greenlight and Terry Gilliam have pushed him towards our beloved genre more than you might think.
When asked what kind of decision making he had when it came to deciding the next film for Project Greenlight (which ended up being a horror movie called Feast), he says things were not done by committee;
‘Youll see on one of the first episodes of Project Greenlight me having this big argument a total meltdown actually with the guys from [studio] Dimension. They walked in and basically chose that movie Feast for us. It was supposed to be a community decision. I was like what the fuck is going on?’
He also said that the Terry Gilliam-directed The Brothers Grimm, in which he costars with Heath Ledger playing the titular siblings, has been delayed until sometime next year. Seems the movie is a bit effects-heavy and they’re not done with them yet, so the next Gilliam movie will have to wait just a little longer. I guess it’s worth it to know one’s on it’s way…
