SATANS LITTLE HELPER GOES TO SCREEN MEDIA
Writer/director Jeff (SQUIRM) Liebermans thrilling comeback, SATANS LITTLE HELPER, has been acquired for video release by Screen Media, which has set a tentative debut date of July 2005. SATANS LITTLE HELPER (see review here) takes place on Halloween and concerns a young boy who inadvertently befriends a masked homicidal maniac. Screen Media, whose promising scream slate also includes Sheldon Wilsons SHALLOW GROUND and Ron Olivers BLOOD ANGELS, distributes its titles through Universal Home Entertainment. ‘The film people are really high on the movie,’ Lieberman tells Fango. ‘Universal makes them a top player, and theyre going to put a lot of marketing support and expertise behind it. Our hope is that SATANS LITTLE HELPER will be to Halloween what BAD SANTA is to Christmas.’
Lieberman hopes to set up more festival play and midnight screenings for SATANS LITTLE HELPER, which stars Katheryn (HELLRAISER: DEADER) Winnick and Amanda (NEEDFUL THINGS) Plummer.
