Washington, D.C.-based iKoya Productions just informed Fango that it has wrapped shooting on its first feature, CRAZY EIGHTS, a horror film shot in and around the capitol on locations including an abandoned mental institution. BLADE’s Traci Lords stars as a rock singer (the actress does her own vocals), one of a group of people who go to an old hospital where a childhood friend was murdered, and where they begin meeting horrible fates themselves. The cast also includes Gabrielle (BODY SNATCHERS) Anwar, Dina (STARSHIP TROOPERS) Meyer, Frank (PULP FICTION) Whaley and George Newbern. James Koya Jones directed the 35mm production from a script he wrote with Daniel Paul DeLuca, and is also executive-producing along with Rick Whealen. The makeup FX were created by Jeremy Selenfriend and his New Jersey-based Monster in My Closet company, which created a number of gruesome demises for the film’s characters.
