Variety reports that Ashton Holmes and Emily Blunt have been signed to star in WIND CHILL, the horror film that, as we reported here, rolls next month in Vancouver for George Clooney and Steven Soderbergh’s Section Eight company. Revolution Studios is backing the movie, in which Holmes and Blunt will play a pair of college students whose car breaks down while they’re driving home for holiday break, whereupon they are terrorized by ghosts of people who have died on the same road. Greg (CRIMINAL) Jacobs will direct from a script by Steven (SHADOW OF THE VAMPIRE) Katz and Joe Gangemi. Holmes was seen last year as Viggo Mortensen’s son in David Cronenberg’s A HISTORY OF VIOLENCE, while Blunt won raves for her performance in the British drama MY SUMMER OF LOVE.
