Exanimus is latin for “without life”, which would be a pretty kick ass name for a videogame about zombies, don’t you think? Enter Rotten Corpse Productions.
While little has been revealed about Exanimus, it’s hard not to be excited based on the potential of what has been revealed. Exanimus is hoping to be the first horror themed massively multiplayer online role playing game, or MMORPG for short.
World of Warcraft is the current poster child of the MMORPG genre and like just about every other MMORPG out there, it’s fantasy themed and it’s time that changed. Exanimus is going to be set in “barricaded cities across the globe” according to the game’s website, and it sees the battle between humans and zombies. The game is going to be for mature audiences only, so we can expect plenty of the red stuff, and here’s a thing some people will probably get a grin out of…
You can actually play as a zombie.
Right now that’s about all we know. There’s no release date, no confirmed platforms beyond the PC, no confirmation if it’ll be something you buy and download online or in stores, but you can be sure that as we hear more about this, so will you. For now, you can check out the pretty barren website right here. There’s not much to see there yet, but keep them peeled.
