According to The Hollywood Reporter, BLADE II actor Luke Goss will reteam with director Guillermo del Toro on HELLBOY 2: THE GOLDEN ARMY. Goss, who was the nasty Nomak in the BLADE sequel, will play Prince Nuada, who crosses over from the underworld to our realm to lead a legion of mythological creatures against mankind. He’s opposed, of course, by Hellboy, Liz Sherman and Abe Sapien, played respectively by returning actors Ron Perlman, Selma Blair and Doug Jones and the voice of David Hyde Pierce.
Del Toro, who scripted HELLBOY 2 with comics creator Mike Mignola, begins shooting next month in Budapest; Universal has the movie slotted for an August 1, 2008 release. Goss’ other genre credits include the monster in 2004’s televersion of FRANKENSTEIN, the British chiller COLD & DARK and the new creature feature UNEARTHED.
