Fango was alerted by writer/director/actor Brandon (POLYCARP) Slagle about HIGHWAY HUNTERS, a new genre movie he’ll co-star in for directors Jaysen Stamper and Todd Lowe. The flick will follow Audrey (Ryli Morgan), a CIA assassin, who is tracking down a vicious serial killer who kidnapped her and her sister 10 years prior. To better avenge her sister, who died horribly at the hands of the maniac, the femme fatale travels in a “mobile torture chamber complete with power tools, surgical equipment, and a blow torch,” per the movie’s MySpace page. The plot thickens when a former U.S. Marine turned hitman (Mark Baranowski) is hired to kill the same man Audrey is after. Throw in the serial killer’s utterly insane and bloodthirsty partner, who goes on a simultaneous killing spree, and the scene is set for “a demolition derby of blood, guts, and bone-ripping horror on the highways and byways of the dirty South in the tradition of THE DEVIL’S REJECTS, BONNIE AND CLYDE and NATURAL BORN KILLERS.”
HIGHWAY HUNTERS will also star Rachael (THE SCREAMING DEAD) Robbins; more info can be found at that MySpace page, and keep checking here for updates as we get ‘em.
