News of a new psycho-killer flick called CHAIN LETTER from SAW creators Twisted Pictures has been going around the Net for a little while now, and The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed the full cast for the soon-to-roll feature.
THIRTEEN’s Nikki Reed, Noah (CABIN FEVER 2) Segan, Matthew (BOOGEYMAN 2) Cohen, Cody (ASYLUM) Kasch, Michael J. (SEE NO EVIL) Pagan and Cherilyn (PARASOMNIA) Wilson will play teenagers stalked by the Chain Man (Michael Bailey Smith from the HILLS HAVE EYES films), so named because of his favorite weapon and because he goes after youths who fail to pass on chain mail. Keith (THE THING) David and Betsy (SAW IV) Russell portray cops on the villain’s trail, while Clifton Powell co-stars as a high-school coach.
Deon Taylor will direct the film from a script he wrote with Pagan; the two are also producing the project, with Mark Burg (a producer on the SAW franchise) and Roxanne Avent executive-producing. Taylor’s previous credits include the prank-calls-gone-wrong slasher flick 7EVENTY5IVE and the fright anthology NITE TALES TRILOGY, both coming on DVD early next year from CodeBlack Entertainment.
