You may remember reports earlier this month regarding the future of Rob Schmidt’s ‘Bad Meat’. Shooting ended abruptly due to it’s financier Capitol Films whom have been facing ‘serious hardships’ that have been affecting their productions. However, Deadline Hollywood Daily are reporting that is doesn’t appear that it’s going to get finished anytime soon!
Capitol Films have officially gone bye-bye.
“It’s done, over, kaput,” an insider told DHD. “A sorry day for a lot of actors, producers, the writer/director, wardrobe, hair, makeup, hotels, craft services, drivers, etc. — hundreds of people who weren’t fully paid. Only a couple of actors had all their money put in escrow and are therefore whole.”
The shoot was about two thirds through when finances ran dry.
We guess it’s up to Rob Schmidt to source finance from elsewhere before this project disappears completely.
