Some of you may remember, quite a long time ago, an announcement that producer Samuel Hadida had acquired the rights to the video game ‘Return to Castle Wolfenstein’. At the time Roger Avery was attached to write and helm the project. STYD have got an update on the movie adaption’s status and it appears Avery has begun the write-up.
id Software CEO Todd Hollenshead told Eurogamer that the project is still in development, saying that “with the writer’s strike it took so long to get underway and Roger Avary, the writer, had a commitment that was in line before working the Wolfenstein stuff, but I’ve recently been in contact with Roger and he’s actually working on the script right now.”
‘Return to Castle Wolfenstein’, set in WWII revolves around U.S. Army Ranger B.J. Blazkowicz, who leads a team of agents into Castle Wolfenstein in order to investigate the Nazis’ SS Paranormal Division.
