Co-creator Paco Plaza goes solo to direct Spanish horror sequel ‘[REC] 3 Genesis’. The flick will premiere here in the UK on Friday 24 August at this years Film4 Fright Fest in Leceister Square and will arrive in the US on VOD from 3 August and open theatrically on 7 September. And to feed those gore hounds out there wanting to see plenty of blood shed then its time to check out the new restricted red band trailer featuring the gorgeous Spanish actress Leticia Dolera (below) plunging a chainsaw into one of her wedding guest’s guts. Dolera, who recently guest starred in the new season of Sky 1’s comedy drama series ‘Mad Dogs’, is joined by the likes of Diego Martin, Javier Botet, Àlex Monner, Ismael Martínez, Ana Isabel Velásquez, Mireia Ros, Itziar Castro, Blai Llopis and Emilio Mencheta. “Koldo and Clara about to celebrate the most important day of their lives: their wedding. Everything appears to be running smoothly and the bride and groom and their families are enjoying a wonderful day; that is until some of the guests start showing signs of a strange illness. Before they know what’s happening, the bride and groom find themselves in the middle of a hellish ordeal, as an uncontrollable torrent of violence is unleashed on the wedding. ‘[REC] 3 Genesis’ will also hit DVD and Blu-ray here in the UK from 3 September.
