After their great double act performance in Ti West’s chilling horror ‘The Innkeepers’ it seems that actor Pat Healy (‘Complicance’) and the lusciously lickable Sara Paxton -below (‘Shark Night’) are back together starring in E.L. Katz’s ‘Cheap Thrills’. Sounding like a feature somewhere between David Guy Levy’s ‘Would You Rather’ and Chookiat Sakveerakul’s ’13: Game of Death’ the flick begins shooting this week in Los Angeles. ‘Anchorman’ and ‘Piranha 3DD’ funny-man David Koechner co-stars along with ‘Vacancy’s Ethan Embry and ‘Red White & Blue’s Amanda Fuller. Katz directs from a scrip co-written by Trent Haaga (‘Deadgirl’) and David Chirchirillo and will be co-produced by Snowfort Pictures and New Artists Alliance.
“The story of a new father facing eviction who is reunited with a high school friend when a wealthy couple challenges them to the ultimate game of dare, testing the limits of physical pain and morality in exchange for cash.”
