We begin with the funeral of Karen White, transformed into a werewolf and killed at the climax of the original film. In the midst of his grief Karen’s brother Ben is approached by Stefan Crosscoe (Christopher Lee), an occult investigator who reveals the truth about what happened to Karen. Stefan convinces Ben, along with Karen’s reporter friend Jenny, to travel to Transylvania to help him stop Stirba, Queen of the Werewolves from rising again. When they reach ‘the black country’ the discover the village they stay in is almost entirely populated by werewolves with only a small group of humans, also sworn to defeating the monsters. However Stirba is expecting their arrival, and she and her nemesis Stefan have more than mutual hatred linking them together.
