LEATHERFACE IN MADHOUSE
FANGORIA just got an update from former actor William (LEATHERFACE) Butler as he prepared to wing over to Romania to begin shooting his feature directorial debut, the murders-in-an-asylum shocker MADHOUSE.
Well, Im off like a dirty shirt! Butler tells Fango. After 23 years of busting tail and typing from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m., my writing partner Aaron Strongoni and I finally got a movie off the ground! MADHOUSE is shooting in a real mental institute, now converted to a five-star hotel. The building is on an island in the middle of a dreary lake, just perfect for the macabre! The place is great, the location is haunted and there are wild dogs running everywhere.
Butler has nabbed some impressive performers for his film, including Joshua (BLAIR WITCH PROJECT) Leonard, Jordan (CABIN FEVER) Ladd, Natasha (AMERICAN PIE) Lyonne, THE HOWLINGs Dee Wallace Stone, Leslie (JASON GOES TO HELL) Jordan and Kimberly (FLATLINERS) Scott. We are so blessed with an amazing cast, and I cant wait for everyone see what Im cooking up, Butler says. Shooting begins in a month; more details to follow.
