SEED TEASER DEBUTS NEXT WEEK
Fango has learned that Rogue Pictures already has a SEED OF CHUCKY teaser trailer ready to go, and will debut it in theaters next Friday, April 16. The movie recently went into production in Romania for an October 29 release, so no footage will be included in the teaser, but were told itll be a typically cheeky Chucky coming attraction (no pun intendedor perhaps it is) that just may find its way into the final feature.
After the initial report about the SEED OF CHUCKY teaser trailers debut April 16, the question came up: What movies will it be attached to? Fango did some checking and found out that the teaser will not actually be attached to any particular film; Rogue Pictures will mass-distribute it to theaters, which will show it at their individual discretion. The assumption, of course, is that it will run with Quentin Tarantinos KILL BILL: VOL. 2, which opens that day and targets the same audience. Although Rogue is associated with Universal, right now there are no plans to attach the teaser to that studios VAN HELSING, opening May 7. One other note: Although Columbia slotted its Japanese horror remake THE GRUDGE to open the same day as SEED, October 29, Rogue will not be budging from that date, which it claimed firstthats one reason its getting the teaser out early.
