The most successful horror franchise of all time is, according to Guinness World Records, ‘Saw’! It’s incredible to think that such a short lived franchise (that only spans across 6 years) has managed to release 7 movies, 2 video games and even some fantastic theme park rides based on the series. ‘Saw’ has become quite an astonishing success story which has rolled in the big bucks time and time again. The films themselves are incredibly solid throughout. Yes of course some are weaker than others but the consistency in style, story and execution is all of a high standard. Especially compared to other horror franchises that can be dire and pointless at the best of times. Well now the ‘Saw’ party is apparently over with the recent theatrical release of the ‘final chapter’ – ‘Saw 3D’. It’s already broke opening weekend records for any horror and continues to do well at the box office.
In celebration of the completion of such a ground breaking horror series we thought it fitting to go back and take a look at some of the highlights of the franchise. Notably the incredible bunch of hotties and sex-pots that feature throughout the 7 movies! Yes it’s time to take a look back at the highs and lows of those titty-owned sweeties that have brightened up the dark and seat-shifting shocks cinema goers have had to endure over the past 6 years. There will be blood (and boobies).
‘Saw’ (2004)
James Wan and Leigh Whannell kick off their ultimately record-breaking horror franchise with the low-budget mystery horror ‘Saw’. With a dead body laying between them, two men wake up in the secure lair of a serial killer who’s been nicknamed “Jigsaw” by the police because of his unusual calling card. Time ticks away for Adam and Dr. Lawrence Gordon as they begin to unravel the reasons behind why they’re trapped in the deadly bathroom.
Ok so now onto the hotties. A trio of tasty treats for us to feast our eyes on. The stunning Monica Potter (‘Con Air’, ‘Trust Me’) kicks us off on our journey through the ‘Saw’ babes. She plays Dr. Gordon’s wife Alison who has been kidnapped by the notorious Zepp. Next up we have Shawnee Smith (‘Saw II’, ‘Saw III’, ‘Saw VI’) and Dina Meyer (‘Saw II’, ‘Saw III’, ‘Saw IV’), whom played trap survivor Amanda Young and Detective Allison Kerry respectively. Potter sadly only appeared in the first ‘Saw’ flick but boy does she stick in the mind.

‘Saw II’ (2005)
Mentalist psycho Jigsaw returns for more blood splattering torture. He’s in the mood for more gameplay when he decides to lock a group of potential victims booby trapped shelter. They must find a way out before they inhale too much of a lethal nerve gas and die. But they must watch out, for the traps Jigsaw has set in the shelter lead to death also.
A bigger cast must mean more hotties right!? Well not quite. We see both Shawnee Smith and Dina Meyer return to the fray, however, we only have a couple of new ‘Saw’ hotties on the board. And they come in the (very fine) form of Addison Corday played by uber-hottie Emmanuelle Vaugier (‘House of the Dead 2’, ‘Dolan’s Cadillac’) and Laura Hunter, played by Beverley Mitchell (‘I Know What I Saw’).

She slowly bled to death as the razors within the box sliced through her wrists as she struggled to get her arms back out. Crazy slut.

‘Saw III’ (2006)
Jigsaw is weak and cancer ridden but thanks to a little help from his friends he still manages to kidnap, set traps and the rest. ‘Saw III’ introduces us to Jeff, an anguished man, who grieves and misses his young son that was killed by a driver in a car accident. He has become obsessed for revenge against the man and reckless with his wife and daughter. When Dr. Lynn Denlon, who has troubles with her marriage, is abducted by the deranged Jigsaw’s apprentice Amanda, she is brought to a gruesome warehouse to keep John Kramer alive in spite of having a terminal brain tumor. Amanda puts a necklace gadget full of explosives around Dr. Lynn’s neck connected to John Kramer’s life support system, and tells her that if he dies the device will explode. Meanwhile, Jeff is submitted to a sick game of forgiveness with surprising dark consequences.
Shawnee Smith and Dina Meyer are both back once again (although both meet their maker by the end of this installment). So who are the new kids on the block? (no Donnie Wahlberg gag intended). First off we have Danica Scott (played by Debra McCabe) who actually appears completely naked (yet frozen) in a chilly trap. There’s Bahar Soomekh (‘Mission: Impossible III’, ‘Day Break’) who plays surgeon Dr. Lynn Denlon and the milf-tastic first appearance of Jigsaw’s ex-wife Jill Tuck, played by Betsy Russell!

Demise: Danica was the only witness to Dylan Denlon’s (Jeff’s son) death. But the selfish slut fled the scene instead of reporting it. Jeff found her hanging in a freezer room in his disturbing maze. She was naked and cuffed and although Jeff tormented by his revenge attempted to save her by reaching for a key behind a bunch of frozen pipes. Unfortunately he was too late.

Demise: After performing quite an incredible looking brain surgery procedure on John Kramer she is shot by Amanda Young. But it didn’t stop there, as Jeff returns he slashes Jigsaw throat but hasn’t heeded any of John Kramer’s warnings. His heart monitor was connected to wife Lynn’s shotgun collar trap, if it died, then so would she. Jigsaw passes away and Lynn’s head pretty much explodes. Ouchy.

Demise: Everybody’s favourite ‘Saw’ milf Jill Tuck finally gets taken down by Hoffman in the ‘final chapter’. Despite being horrified by her late husband John’s work she seems very keen to get involved with his final wishes. She sadly becomes the unlucky victim of the reverse bear trap, which incredibally as iconic as it is, is the first and only time the trap has successfully killed a victim. I’m not surprised she got caught in the end, did you see her run!? Interestingly you see Jill die twice in ‘Saw 3D’ – a first in the series.
Betsy Russell And Her Splendid Nipples Protrude
‘Saw IV’ (2007)
Fuck! Jigsaw’s dead, so what’s the point of continuing? Hey hang on, so’s Amanda – his protege, so what the hell is going on? Well thanks to a well thought out franchise with twists and turns, flashbacks and revisiting it’s not as simple as all that. The feds have finally uncovered the body of Detective Allison Kerry and Agent Strahm and Agent Perez, arrive in the terrified community to assist the veteran Detective Hoffman in sifting through Jigsaw’s latest grisly remains and piecing together the puzzle. However, when SWAT Commander Rigg is abducted and thrust into a game, the last officer untouched by Jigsaw has but ninety minutes to overcome a series of demented traps and save an old friend or face the deadly consequences.
Aside from a number of previous ‘Saw’ ladies returning to the franchise through various flashbacks and archive footage etc there is little new fresh female meat on the chopping block in this installment. First off there’s FBI Agent Perez, played by Athena Karkanis (‘Repo! The Genetic Opera’, ‘Survival of the Dead’) who doesn’t appear to last very long, or does she? And secondly there’s prostitute dealer Brenda, played by Sarain Boylan who just can’t do a thing with her hair!

Died in: ‘Saw VI’
Demise: Lindsey fall’s victim to an exploding Billy doll. Her face is filled with shrapnel from the exploding (and now laughing) doll and she is rushed to hospital. But not all is as it seems for even though the word is she’s dead she actually re-appears in ‘Saw VI’ alive and well and working secretly on the Jigsaw case behind the scenes. Perez is subsequently stabbed to death by Hoffman after she uncovers his voice on a pre-recorded tape taken at the crime scene of his ‘staged’ pendelum trap.

Brenda
Played By: Sarain Boylan

Died in: ‘Saw IV’
Demise: Brenda fell victim to the first of Detective Rigg’s ‘tests’. Jigsaw challenged Rigg to a number of games involving some unsavoury characters including our dear Brenda who turned out to be a prozzie dealer. She was trapped in a room in his apartment with her long blonde pony-tailed hair attached to a machine that once set off would slowly twist it’s gears pulling the hair further and further until Brenda’s scalp would become detached. Rigg actually succeeds in saving her but as an evil twist she had been previously told that the policeman that would save her would use the evidence (plastered around the room) to bring her to justice and must kill him with a hidden knife. Ultimately the fisticuffs ends with Riggs throwing her through a mirror and killing her.
