Angelina Jolie (‘Salt’) takes the lead in Walt Disney’s new dark fairytale ‘Maleficent’ and Miss Jolie has popped up on the early UK teaser one-sheet from the production currently in post-production. Directed by visual effects artist Robert Stromberg, whom makes his directorial debut with the project, the tale tells of the villainous ‘Maleficient’ from Disney’s 1959 animated movie ‘Sleeping Beauty’. Sharlto Copley (‘District 9’), Elle Fanning (‘Super 8’), Sam Riley, Imelda Staunton, Juno Temple (‘The Dark Knight Rises’) and Lesley Manville also star. ‘Maleficent’ will arrive in UK theatres in May 2014.
