Brand New Batch of 'Excision' Stills and Blu-ray Artwork Cut Deep

Anchor Bay have announced that they intend to drop the gruesome Richard Bates Jr. horror flick ‘Excision’ onto both DVD and Blu-ray across the US from 16 October. AnnaLynne McCord (‘90210’, ‘The Haunting of Molly Hartley’) and ex-porn star Traci Lords (‘ Zack & Miri Make a Porno’) star in the “mind-blowingly grotesque” feature and now not only do we catch a glimpse of the expected new artwork for the release next month but also a handful of brand new stills. Sadly, however, it doesn’t appear there’s going to be a great deal of extras on the said DVD or Blu-ray as only an audio commentary with writer/director Richard Bates Jr. and star AnnaLynne McCord has been mentioned. ‘Excision’ also stars Ariel Winter, Roger Bart, Jeremy Sumpter, John Waters, Malcolm McDowell (‘A Clockwork Orange’), Marlee Matlin, Matthew Gray Gubler and Ray Wise (‘Dead End’). “Excision follows a disturbed and delusional high school student, Pauline (AnnaLynne McCord), who, with aspirations of a career in medicine, goes to extremes to earn the approval of her controlling mother (Traci Lords). While dealing with being an outcast teenager and obsession over curing her sister’s cystic fibrosis, Pauline becomes continually deranged as her fascination with surgery and the human flesh grows into something abysmal and demonic.”
