‘Hatchet III’ and ‘ChromeSkull: Laid to Rest 2′ star Danielle Harris’ solo directorial debut has snagged distribution rights in the US. ‘Among Friends’ has been picked up by Grindstone Entertainment and is due to be unleashed onto DVD via Lionsgate Home Entertainment. No specific release date quite yet but director Harris (below) has this to say about the acquisition. “This is the perfect home for Among Friends, and I’m honored to have such well-respected distributors supporting me on my first feature behind the camera.” says Harris. “This is just the beginning of many more to come!” AJ Bowen (‘The House of the Devil’), Christopher Backus, Chris Meyer, Jennifer Blanc Biehn (‘Bad Ass’), Brianne Davis, Dana Daurey, Kamala Jones, Tanya Newbould, Kane Hodder and Alyssa Lobit (who wrote the script) all star in the project.
