DVD company NoShame Films wants to get the word out to fans about a replication problem on the DEATH WALKS ON HIGH HEELS disc in its LUCIANO ERCOLI DEATH BOX SET, which causes it to stop playing in certain players. Anyone who received a defective copy is invited to return it to the company for a replacement.
NoShame has also announced a couple of Italian religious dramas for release May 30, including one directed by none other than CEMETERY MAN’s Michele Soavi! ST. FRANCIS, originally made for Italian TV, stars Raoul (ALIEN VS. PREDATOR) Bova in the title role of Francesco Bernardone, whose benevolent works in the 12th century led to his being canonized as St. Francis of Assisi. The cast also includes familiar Italo-horror faces Erica Blanc (from THE NIGHT EVELYN CAME OUT OF THE GRAVE and THE RED QUEEN KILLS SEVEN TIMES, both coming in NoShame’s THE EMILIO MIRAGLIA KILLER QUEEN BOX SET) and David Brandon (from STAGEFRIGHT, DELIRIUM and others); the disc will include a Soavi interview and retail for $19.95.
