Ethan Hawke Gets Freaked out in New Silent ‘Sinister’ Red Band Trailer

To send us mid-week shivers down our spines comes the new red band trailer for Scott Derrickson’s (‘The Exorcism of Emily Rose’) supernatural thriller ‘Sinister’. The trailer which comes courtesy of Alliance Films features more of star Ethan Hawke (‘Daybreakers’, ‘Total Recall’) running around seeing all sorts of disturbing things after he discovers a number of creepy old film reels in the attic of his new home. The effective and restricted new trailer cleverly eliminates any distracting talking or voiceovers and concentrates completely on its ominous theme. Derrickson helms from a script we co-wrote with C. Robert Cargill. Vincent D’Onofrio (‘Men in Black’), James Ransone, Fred Dalton Thompson, Clare Foley, Michael Hall D’Addario and Juliet Rylance also star. Check out the new trailer below.

“A true crime novelist struggling to find his next big story discovers a box of home videos showing other families being brutally murdered, but his investigation soon leads him to a supernatural entity that may be placing his own family in harm’s way.”

‘Sinister’ opens here in the UK on the 5 October and the following week on the 12th over in the US.
