Haunted Casinos You Should Keep out Of

By Horror Asylum on March 25, 2018 News

Horror is one of the most popular genres in literature and film. There are plenty of horror movies and TV shows available now with the rise of streaming platforms. If you’re into books then you can find some horror classics easily. The genre itself has served as inspiration for many video games that keep gamers awake at night.

Game developers in the online casino industry have also used horror as inspiration for many horror-themed slot games. If you’re not into horror you can find plenty of other video themed slots at many online casinos. However, if you’re looking for the cream of the crop then you can play the latest casino games at casimba.com.

What inspires horror movies and books are some tragic events. These events make places haunted because the restless spirits roam through them each night. There are such places everywhere even in the world of casinos.

    Bally’s Resort and Casino
What makes this casino haunted was a catastrophic event in 1980, when the land was an MGM Grand Hotel. The place caught on fire and as a result of faulty electronics. Around 80 people lost their lives. When the casino was built claims of ghost sightings plummeted.

Guests reported seeing ghostly figures of the staff roaming about at night on the upper floors. The tragedy of the fire is what binds those ghosts to this casino and why it’s considered to be haunted.

    The Flamingo
It’s no secret that some of the casinos at Las Vegas were established and run by the mob. This was the case with Flamingo. This luxurious hotel and casino was developed by notorious mobster Bugsy Siegel. Since he was a mobster he led a life of crime that caught up with him on June 20th, 1947. He was assassinated and his “business partner” Lucky Luciano took over.

Despite his death, it is said that the ghost of Bugsy stays to haunt the living. He was seen near the swimming pool and in the Presidential Suite. Since he was a dangerous man you wouldn’t want to meet him in person, let alone see his ghost. Some of the staff have even quit on the spot after seeing the ghost. However, the reports of the sightings will keep coming as Bugsy just doesn’t know when to quit.

    The Tropicana
Objects have been known to be haunted. Some of them served as inspiration for great horror stories and films. Chucky is one of the best examples for this but so is a Tiki mask at The Tropicana. It was a seemingly harmless mask that served as decoration. However, there were reports of guests contracting a purple rash upon contact with this mask.

Furthermore, some reports also suggested that a purple mist formed around it and it could be seen in photos. Unfortunately, the mystery of the Tiki mask will never be solved as management decided to remove it a while ago and ensure the safety of the guests.
