The sexy model turned actress Lydia Hearst is the latest to sign up for Kaare Andrews’ (‘Altitude’) ‘Cabin Fever: Patient Zero’. The flick which is set to kick off shooting next month over in the Dominican Republic will be filmed back to back alongside its follow-up ‘Cabin Fever: Outbreak’. The 27-year old Hearst (below), who has also appeared in popular mens magazine Playboy joins Sean Astin (‘The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers’), Brano Eaton, Jillian Murray (‘The Graves’), Ryan Donowho (‘The Ganzfeld Experiment’) and Mitch Ryan and is said to be playing a “wide-eyed research grad student”. Andrews will be directing from a script penned by ‘The Hitcher’ scribe Jake Wade Wall.
“The story kicks off when a bachelor party cruise in the Caribbean unexpectedly runs ashore on a medical research island and a deadly virus is unleashed. The passengers must struggle to find a way to survive before their own demons and the flesh-eating bacteria consume them all.”
