Is John Gulager's 'Piranha 3DD' Sequel Set For Direct TO DVD UK Release?

Well this is not overly welcome news if it turns out to be factual but it appears that the John Gulager helmed bitey sequel ‘Piranha 3DD’ is swimming straight past UK theatres and instead going to hit DVD and Blu-ray. The Dimension Films sequel has been plagued with release issues of late and is being bumped constantly at the moment. So if the BVA are to be trusted the direct to DVD release will arrive in the UK on 19 March 2012. No word yet as to whether or not the US will follow suit? But time will tell.
