Every now and again a genre flick comes along and trundles through the typical gossip and whisper machine. There’s nothing more frustrating than a project that hits you with news that then turns out to be less solidified than you first thought. One such piece of news that hit lately was that ‘X-Men: First Class’ star James McAvoy was being tapped to take the lead role in the planned remake of comic to feature adaptation ‘The Crow’. McAvoy, during his press stint for Danny Boyle’s new thriller ‘Trance’, mentioned to Getty Images that there’s no actual confirmation of any of this just yet. ‘It’s not for real,” says McAvoy “I don’t think it’s materialised into anything truthful yet…it’s just been rumour mill stuff.” So make of that what you will. McAvoy will next be set to reprise his role as Professor Xavier in Bryan Singer’s ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’.
