‘Saw VI’ and ‘Saw 3D’ helmer Kevin Greutert’s newest horror offering has been pegged with an official release date. The worst bit is that Lionsgate are holding on to the project tightly all the way until 10 January 2014. Greutert ‘Ghosts’ (formerly known as ‘Jessabelle’) comes courtesy of a script from ‘Reno 911’ and ‘Hell Baby’ actor/scribe Robert Ben Garant and stars Australian actress Sarah Snook (below) as Jessie the “wheelchair-bound widow”. Alongside Snook are fellow castmates Mark Webber, Joelle Carter, David Andrews, Amber Stevens, Ana de la Reguera, Larisa Oleynik and Chris Ellis.
“Jessie, a wheelchair-bound widow forced to live with her father in his decrepit Louisiana manor while she heals. In the house, she discovers video tapes made long ago by her deceased mother, warning her of an evil out to consume her.”
