Director of the ‘Feast’ trilogy John Gulager and it’s two writers Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan (better known for penning ‘Saw IV’, ‘Saw V’, ‘Saw VI’ and the upcoming ‘Saw 3D’ as well as more recently ‘The Collector’) will all soon be teaming up once again for ‘Piranha 3D: The Sequel’, or what is to be known offically as ‘Piranha 3DD’. A tongue in cheek title for what’s certain to be an exuberantly toungue in cheek horror follow-up. Alexandre Aja’s remake, released earlier this year, was huge fun and contained heaps of blood and gore as well as notable nudity, topless pornstars and a mesmerising underwater lesbian scene with two of it’s naked stars Kelly Brook and pornstar Riley Steele (below).
‘Piranha 3DD’ is hitting the fast tracks and Dimension are already eyeing a late August 2011 release date!
And in case you missed it the original was about the following: “After a sudden underwater tremor sets free scores of the prehistoric man-eating fish, an unlikely group of strangers must band together to stop themselves from becoming fish food for the area’s new razor-toothed residents.”
No word as yet if whether the cast (or the surviving cast) from the first movie will be involved, however we’ll keep you posted.
