Sexy star of ‘The Vampire Diaries’ Nina Dobrev (below) is the latest actress to sign on for Todd Strauss-Schulson’s (‘A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas’) new horror comedy ‘The Final Girls’. The 25 year old has signed on to Groundswell Productions’ latest offering and is set to play the former friend of Taissa Farmiga’s (‘American Horror Story’) character. Farmiga finds herself trapped inside a horror film in which her now dead mother (played by the hot Malin Akerman (‘Watchmen’)) starred in during the 1980’s. So there’s plenty of scope there for genre in-jokes, references and hopefully a whole lot of horror. Sony Pictures will be distributing the feature which begins shooting this month in Louisiana.
