A brainchild of Water Park operator Bob Martin.
Martin had envisioned a use for the Central Valley attraction the Island Water Park long after the typical two and half months of summer. What else to do when the temperatures start to drop and the nights become darker? Open a sprawling 6 acre Haunted Attraction. Martin enlisted the help of two known professionals in their own respective industries.
Haunt Legend Allen Hopps was brought on right away to create an Immersive atmosphere with rich storytelling and lore for each of the four haunted attractions that have been constructed. Yes! Four unique experiences for one ticket price.
Now that the vision was set the haunted world created. Who to helm? Martin then brought on known independent filmmaker Michael S. Rodriguez to handle the direction.
This should make for one impressive and unique experience as one of the parks staple rides the lazy river has been converted into Blood River Bayou. A 15 min boat tour where you will encounter ghosts, witches and all things that go bump in the night. Don’t forget to stop into Night Crawler’s Pizza where the Animatronics have run amuck or a stroll through Ghoul Town where the Dead can’t wait for you to drop in. Last, but not least become a citizen volunteer that must investigate the strange happenings at a chemical research facility.
Rodriguez states – It’s about time we had something centrally located for haunt fans that cannot necessarily get out to the big cities where you have Halloween Horror Nights. It’s about time we brought it to you.
