With Guillermo Del Toro at the helm and a sh#t load of money and effects thrown at it we’re in no doubt that ‘Pacific Rim’ will be one of this Summer’s biggest blockbusters. Another new promo pic featuring the apt tagline “We Live in a Time of Monsters” has arrived. Even though the text has just been plonked over a screen grabbed shot taken from the latest trailer we still get another idea of the scale of the creatures. Charlie Hunnam (‘Sons of Anarchy’), Rinko Kikuchi (‘Assault Girls’), Ron Perlman (‘Season of the Witch’), Idris Elba (‘The Wire’), Charlie Day (‘Horrible Bosses’), Robert Kazinsky (‘Eastenders’), Clifton Collins Jr and Max Martini all star. Check out the new promo below and also, doing its best to appease ‘Transformers’ and ‘Godzilla’ fans, is another look the most recent official trailer.
“When legions of monstrous creatures, known as Kaiju, started rising from the sea, a war began that would take millions of lives and consume humanity’s resources for years on end. To combat the giant Kaiju, a special type of weapon was devised: massive robots, called Jaegers, which are controlled simultaneously by two pilots whose minds are locked in a neural bridge.
