Name after name has been thrown out there in connection with the lead role for the forthcoming reboot of ‘The Crow’. But whilst British stars such as Tom Hiddleston (‘Avengers Assemble’) and James McAvoy (‘X-Men: First Class’) have been rumoured for the role only to be quashed days later it seemed more likely that Alexander Skarsgard (‘True Blood’) was a cert for the part, if he wanted it. But now we learn that the part is officially that of Welsh star Luke Evans. The Brit actor, who was direcor F. Javier Gutierrez’s initial choice, has gained the role and Relativity Media are even pushing back the start date for production to early 2014 so as to accomodate Evans’ schedule. Evans, who starred previously in ‘The Raven’ and this months new horror release ‘No One Lives’ will be seen in a number of big upcoming movies such as action sequel ‘Fast & Furious 6’ and in the next two installments of Peter Jackson’s ‘The Hobbit’.
